JOSEPH W. KIMAZ, Chairman

Joe is the President of the Madison Real Estate Group, a real estate investment and property management firm. Joe lives in Encino with his wife Jacqueline and their four children, Michael, Cynthia, Charles and Alexander, three of whom have already graduated from Saint Cyril. Joe is a former member of the Saint Cyril School Board, and a former development committee director of the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club.

JAMES E. FITZGERALD, Treasurer

Jim Fitzgerald is an attorney and partner with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP specializing in commercial and business litigation.  Jim regularly represents large insurance companies, investment brokerage firms, professional firms and individuals. Jim has two sons, Jack and Luke, and a daughter, Emma; all graduated from Saint Cyril School.  Jim received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgetown University and his law degree from Fordham University Law School.  Jim has worked on fundraising in the past with the American Cancer Society and contributes his time to the Los Angeles County Superior Court as a mediator.  

MICHELLE ESTRELLADO (Vasquez), Secretary

Michelle has worked in higher education for 16 years.  Her most recent role was Dean of Student Affairs at The Art Institute of California - Hollywood. In this position, she led all aspects of campus life and student affairs for the college’s residential, commuter, non-traditional, military, and international students.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California-Los Angeles as well as a Master of Science degree in Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.  Michelle and her husband J.R. currently have two children attending Saint Cyril School in the graduating class of 2019 and 2021.  She has been involved with student recruitment for Saint Cyril, heading booths for the Encino Family Festival (formerly known as Taste of Encino) and the Sherman Oaks Street Fair.  She looks forward to serving as a board member for The Foundation for Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School and specifically help provide support in the area of communications and promotions.

DIRECTORS

KHALED ABDELWAHED, Trustee

Khaled is a business leader with over 20-year experience in broadcast media, production and advertising. He has managed various leading companies in Los Angeles including XPRS 1090AM where he established Spanish-language broadcast rights with MLB Angels, USC Football and the NFL Super Bowl.  He managed Univision’s flagship station KTNQ-AM where he developed LIVE shows in finance, health, politics and sports.  After his time at Univision, Khaled moved to Azteca America as VP General Manager where he created various daytime television programs.

Khaled is currently managing B2B blue-chip accounts with the greater Los Angeles Business Journal and digital properties.  He is focused on developing unique programs for corporate companies to further expand their business profits within the LA local communities.

Khaled has two children attending Saint Cyril School.  He is an active volunteer at the school supporting various organizations.  He is also a trained and registered coach under AYSO and the Balboa Sports Complex.   

HEATHER McHUGH, Trustee

OLGA SIMON (Martinelli), Trustee

 Olga moved to Los Angeles from Tegucigalpa, Honduras to learn English. She studied Sociology at California State University with an emphasis in Counseling and Interviewing.  Olga pursued a career in Human Resources and worked for Target Stores for 13 years.  In 2001 she became HR Manager assisting the store with hiring and training new employees in the different departments.

Olga also worked at the courthouse in San Fernando in 2010 for two years in the Children's Place where she was able to apply art and educational activities to treat children in crisis whose parents were dealing with custody cases. She also volunteered for two years at the Academic Counseling department at Cal State University in Northridge, assisting and guiding freshman through their academic path. In February 2013, she volunteer at the Pro-Life Pregnancy Counseling Center in Mission Hills where she became a mentor and a counselor to women in crisis dealing with unplanned pregnancies and any other difficult social situations. 

Olga currently has two children. One is a recent 2017 graduate from Saint Cyril School and is currently attending Chaminade High School, and the youngest one is currently attending Saint Cyril School in the graduating class of 2019. She has been involved with Father and Daughter dance in 2015 and 2016 and now she is proudly serving in The Foundation for Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School as the School Liaison.  

JESUS ROMERO, Trustee

 Jesus is the proud parent of current Saint Cyril students as well as an alumnae. A former Peace Corps Volunteer, Jesus has spent the majority of his career in the non-profit sector, working with organizations and guiding their capacity building activities as Associate Director with Executive Service Corps or Southern California.  A leader in strategic planning, fund development and executive coaching, Jesus is also a recruiter and currently the Business Development Manager with a local staffing firm.
