State of the Foundation for St. Cyril School

The Foundation for St. Cyril School is excited to announce that since its inception, in 2007, they have made a tremendous impact on the education received by all students attending St. Cyril School.  

Since 2007, the Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 and supported the students of St. Cyril School with a total of over $300,000 in the area of Curriculum Enhancement, Faculty development, and Tuition Assistance. At the end of 2018, the Foundation had total assets of $667,231 in equities and cash. (Click to see financial statement as of December 31, 2018.)

Working to fulfill its mission to support the school’s academic leadership and teaching excellence by funding enrichment and enhancement programs that foster personal academic leadership, the Foundation provides tuition assistance and has been instrumental in working with school officials to:

Introduce technology into the classrooms and has subsidized in part or full the following programs; 

  • Funding the startup of a one on one iPad program

  • Contributing toward the installation of a State of the Art Science Lab

  • Purchasing Robotics Equipment and Establishing a Robotics Program

  • Purchasing Video Production Equipment and Establishing Video Production classes

  • Funding the startup of a Mac Computer Lab

  • Funding the purchase and installation of Smart Boards in all classrooms   

Underwriting in whole or part the following afterschool enrichment programs;

  • Academic Decathlon

  • Mock Trial 

  • CodeRev

  • Science Labs

  • Interactive Math Labs

Underwriting Faculty Development to support professional and career growth by providing support in the following areas;

  • Recruitment

  • Retention 

  • Professional Development

  • CUE Conference – Subsidize entire faculty cost annually 

  • NCTM Conference – Subsidize entire faculty cost annually

The Foundation for St. Cyril School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 2007 for the sole purpose of supporting St. Cyril School. The Foundation was established in perpetuity to support ongoing quality supplement enrichment programs to help foster personal and academic leadership in a safe, diverse, and inviting environment, in the Catholic tradition. 

While we are pleased with what has been achieved over the years, hard work remains to be done. Our commitment to help provide our students quality supplement enrichment programs to help foster personal and academic leadership has no expiration date. It is up to each and every one of us to be engaged and to ensure that the tradition of educational excellence at St. Cyril continues.
